Going OSDP?

The Lowest TCO In The Market

WaveLynx Readers - Get off Prox!

Value Proposition

Reader manufacturers have varying approaches to supporting OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol). Replacing hardware with hardware is not only infuriating, but it can also be very expensive. If you are planning to transition your legacy system to OSDP, it is important to select the right hardware that will set you up for future success. WaveLynx readers have a patented feature called OSDP™ Autodetect. This means no extra labor during your panel upgrade.

By choosing WaveLynx readers as a starting point for your OSDP panel upgrade, you’ll get the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) In the market.

What is OSDP?

Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) was adopted by SIA (Security Industry Association) and approved as an international standard by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) in 2020. It offers more functionality, interoperability, and most importantly, higher security than Wiegand. It's Official!

In 2020, WaveLynx became OSDP Verified, “ by the Security Industry Association (SIA) in a comprehensive testing program that validates that a device conforms to the SIA Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) standard and the related performance profiles”. You can find us published on the OSDP Verified Products List where we are currently the only smart card verified device. This means our reader can “handle the transfer of structured data units required for smart card operations, which allows for use in Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management and Personal Identity Verification environments among others”.
